In the CropBoost project Jeremy Harbinson, Rene Klein Lankhorst et al. have published an Opinion Paper in the Special Issue of Biology: Crop Improvement Now and Beyond.

In this paper, we pledge for a large-scale pan-European research program to future proof our crops. This will be absolutely necessary to sustainably feed a future world population of 10 billion while at the same time protecting our precious ecosystems and withstanding the negative effects of global climate change. The realization of this program, with the title “The CropBooster Program” will require a lot of lobby work at national governments, funding organizations, the European Commission etc,. etc. To help us with this, please spread this Opinion Paper within your networks.
